Pelican on a Post for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on. I am sharing a pelican on a post card made using the gorgeous Waves of Inspiration stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pelican on a post card, you will need:

Pacific Point card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic Gray card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White card

Using Pacific Point ink and a Blending Brush I added ink to the smaller Basic White panel. The inked panel was glued to the Basic Gray layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same glue to adhere it to the Pacific Point card base.

The pelican on a post was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a scrap of Basic White card. I die cut it out using the co-ordinating Wave dies.

Using a blending Brush, I added Soft Suede and Early Espresso ink to a scrap of Basic White card. I used the Horizon Dies to cut out a strip of ‘ground’. I ran the strip through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. I added it over the base of the posts on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto the card front in Pacific Point ink. The birds were stamped in Early Espresso ink.
