The Share it Sunday blog hop gives Demonstrators the chance to share any projects they have been working on and I am showing you some First and Second Generation Stamping. This technique in this card helps to give the impression of a field full of flowers and gives depth to the picture.
First and Second Generation Stamping
This card takes the flowers from the Wisteria Wishes stamp set and turns them upside down.
The card was inspired by a picture I found on Pinterest.
I loved all the bold vibrant colours of the delphiniums in this picture. t had me reaching for my inkpads. I picked out Gorgeous Grape, Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Freesia and Sweet Sorbet. The leaves were in Garden Green. The stamps comes with 3 flowers on one stamp and 3 stems with leaves on another. I inked up the stamps to lay down the colour in the foreground, then by stamping again without re-inking (2nd Generation stamping) you get the effect of flowers in the background.
I first die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock with a Border die. Then I embossed it with the Timber 3D embossing folder. Using some Smokey Slate ink and Blending Brush, I gently highlighted the embossed areas of this strip of card before adding it in front of the stamped flowers with dimensionals.
After backing this stamped mat onto some Rich Razzleberry cardstock, a length of Black Gingham Ribbon was wrapped around the bottom. It was then stuck to a Basic Black card base. A Gingham bow was added with a glue dot.
The sentiment was stamped in black, before being cut out individually to give a shadow effect and mounted onto Black card. These words were then added to the card front with dimensionals.
