Stamping With Friends - A Card Design with Strips of Paper

Hello everyone - my name is Donna and I'm an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Mid Wales, UK. You may have come across me from the Stampin' With Friends blog hop and if this is the first time you've seen me - hello! Its great to see you.

The theme for the blog hop is a strip card challenge. This is what I came up with. I've used the Cup of Tea stamp set with Sweet Sorbet ink.

I got my supplies together: a cardbase in thick basic white measuring 8¼" x 5¾" scored on the long side at 4⅛"

My designer series paper is from Tea Boutique and I've got 3 pieces measuring 5½" x ⅞"

I've stamped one of the tea cups from the Cup of Tea stamp set twice and fussy cut them. I've stamped these in Sweet Sorbet ink

Finally I stamped a sentiment from Cup of Tea onto white cardstock punched out with the Rectangle Postage punch

The designer series strips are placed horizontally across the card equal distance apart.

My punched and fussy cut shapes are loaded with mini stampin' dimensionals

I stuck the shapes down as shown in the photo. One of my favourite things to do is to meet up with friends over a cuppa and a cake so I think I'll make another one of these and send it to my two girlfriends.
