Lights Aglow Flip Front Christmas Card - Stamping With Friends

 Hi Everyone,

The theme is 'Christmas', never too early to start your cards I say. I've chosen the Lights Aglow dsp and the Twinkling Lights dies with the Christmas to Remember stamp set for my card. It's a really simple fun fold card, let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of thick white card 4 1/8" x 5 7/8"
1 piece of basic white card 2 1/2" x 8 1/4", 1 strip 3/4" x 3 3/4"
1 piece of dsp 4" x 5 3/4", 1 piece 2 3/8" x 4"
1 piece of garden green card and gold foil card 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Cherry Cobbler ink
Gems for decoration

Instructions

Adhere the larger piece of dsp to the thick white card base leaving a tiny border all around the edge.

Score the long piece of basic white in the middle at 4 1/8" to make a tent fold card. Stamp a sentiment on the inside using the cherry cobbler ink. Adhere this to the card base, in the centre with the fold at the top. Add the dsp to the front of this flip front card.

Die cut the Christmas Tree using just the outline die with the gold foil and then die add the embossed inner to the die and cut again with the garden green. This piece embosses tiny stars and circles as well as strings of holes.  Adhere the green layer on top of the gold foil and it will look as though there are lights on the tree - clever!  Add the tree to the flip front using dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment on the strip of white and then punch both ends to make the banner. Add across the tree with dimensionals.

Sprinkle some gems on the tree and the banner to finish the card. I've used some retired gems, great way to use up retired gems in many different colours to look like baubles on the tree.
