Today’s Blog post is sharing some different colouring techniques in cardmaking.

Different Colouring Techniques in Cardmaking

I decided to have some fun with the Adorable Owls Stamp set that is one of the options from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. You can claim it as a free gift with any qualifying order before 28th February. This photopolymer set features 3 cute owls and a set of sentiments. that makes this a versatile set for different occasions.

A Valentine’s Card

For my cute Valentine’s Card I combined two of the owl stamps to create this twitterpated pair. They were stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blend markers. I also added a few hearts from the Country Bouquet stamp set to the scene. The red heart dotted Designer Series Paper in the background comes from the Country Floral Lane pack.

The sentiment, from the Country Bouquet stamp set, was cut up into the separate words before adding them to the card front, so they fitted around the images.

A Birthday Card

This set isn’t only for Valentine’s Day though. I created another owl project for a Happy Birthday. This cute little owl with his party hat, was coloured with watercolor pencils. The Designer Series was another design from the Country Floral Lane pack. More little hearts, but this time on Balmy Blue. The diamond background is reflected with the diamond stamped topper.
